Over the moon(beam)

We’re thrilled to announce that WCEA partner Rowena Rae and her sister, Elspeth Rae, have received a 2018 Moonbeam Award for their book A Duck in a Sock: Four Phonics Stories, the first in their Meg and Greg series of chapter books for six- to nine-year-olds who struggle with reading. The book won gold in the Reading Skills/Literacy category.

Launched in 2007, the Moonbeam Awards recognize outstanding children’s books and their creators, and celebrate life-long reading. Congratulations to Rowena and Elspeth, and all the other winners!
