Your 2024 guide to editing conferences

Thinking of attending an editing conference this year? The list of options in 2024 is a little shorter than it was in 2023, because several conferences—including those of the Institute of Professional Editors, the Northwest Editors Guild, the European Association of Science Editors, and the Editorial Freelancers Association—aren’t held annually. But you still have plenty of options.

Most of this year’s conferences are in person, offering the chance to travel to new or familiar places, in addition to reconnecting with other editors and other colleagues who work with words, making new connections and friends, getting energized about your work, and learning about the latest trends in editing and publishing.
