Your 2023 guide to conferences on editing

In-person editing conferences are happening again! While the pandemic is not quite behind us, we have once again started to travel, regularly gather in person, and attend in-person events.

The benefits of attending conferences are many. Conferences are a chance to reconnect with other editors (and other colleagues who work with words), get energized about your work, make new connections and friends, learn about the latest trends in editing and publishing, and travel to new places. And for those not able to travel this year, many of the conferences are also offering online options.

Here’s a snapshot of the conferences—in person, online, and hybrid—coming up this year, in chronological order.

Note: Schedule and pricing information was not available for all conferences at the time of publication.
